Jenny Bitzer holds a perfect 4.0 GPA at Manhattan after transferring from Louisiana Tech following her sophomore season. She also participates in the Manhattan student-run business organization.
Character
Bitzer stablished herself as a leader of a young team a year ago in her first season in Riverdale. She could easily be an offensive force for most teams, but understands her defensive play is more important for the team’s success.
Community
Bitzer participated in the Susan B. Koman Breast Cancer Walk and was apart of the Manhattan student-athlete community that ranked second nationally last fall in community service according to Helper Helper.
Competition
Bitzer won the 2015 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and was a second-team All-MAAC selection as a junior. She is one of the leaders of a defense that allowed a MAAC-low 14 goals on the year, including just three during league play, while helping register 11 shutouts.
