Jess Schaben is a two-time Academic All-Big 12 First Team honoree and earned Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll each semester as a student-athlete at Iowa State.
Character
Schaben is an outstanding leader for the ISU volleyball program, serving as team captain in 2018, and has served as a member of ISU volleyball’s leadership council the past three seasons.
Community
Schaben is an active member of Iowa State’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), and she was selected during the summer of 2018 to travel to Costa Rica as part of Soles4Souls.
Competition
Schaben is a two-time AVCA Honorable Mention All-American (2016, 2017), a two-time All-Big 12 First Team selection (2016, 2017), and one of 10 players in ISU history with more than 1,000 career kills.
