Megan O’Sullivan holds a 3.24 cumulative GPA as a nursing major. She was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team in 2015 and is a member of the MAAC Academic Honor Roll.
Character
O’Sullivan is beginning her second season as a co-captain in 2016. Last fall, as the only upperclassman on the roster, she helped lead the team to the MAAC Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. She is the only senior on the 2016 squad, which was picked to repeat as MAAC Champions in the preseason coaches poll.
Community
O’Sullivan has completed an internship at a Mayo Clinic in her hometown of Phoenix, Ariz. She also is a member of Fairfield’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, which plans many of the department’s fundraising and community service efforts.
Competition
O’Sullivan was an All-MAAC First Team selection and MAAC All-Championship Team performer last fall as a middle blocker. She averaged 2.73 kills per set while leading the team and ranking second in the MAAC with a .306 hitting percentage. Defensively, she ranked sixth in the MAAC with 0.93 blocks per set and has been tabbed for the preseason All-MAAC Team to kick off the 2016 campaign.
