Classroom
Taryn Kloth has made the dean’s list all three years at Creighton and owns a cumulative GPA above 3.85. She will graduate in 3.5 years with a degree in finance and will then transfer to LSU to play beach volleyball in the spring. Kloth received BIG EAST All-Academic Team honors after each season.
Character
Kloth was named team captain in 2018 due to her high character.
Community
Kloth helps with Creighton’s Welcome Week, St. Pius/St. Leo Race for Education, Night Out with the Jays, Project Harmony and the Completely Kids program. She also participates in Children’s Hospital visits and spent time reading to school children while in Slovenia this past summer.
Competition
Kloth helped the team to their first Sweet 16 in program history as a freshman, then to the program’s first Elite 8 during her sophomore season. She played with U.S. Volleyball’s Collegiate National Team in China during the summer of 2018 and just recently joined Creighton’s 1,000 career kill club on August 31, 2018. She had a career-high of 25 kills at No. 10 USC on August 25, 2018.
In 2016, she was an honorable mention All-American, first-team All-BIG EAST selection and first-team AVCA All-East Region pick.
In 2017, Kloth was named second-team All-BIG EAST, an honorable mention AVCA All-East Region selection and the BIG EAST Championship MVP—one of four All-Tournament team honors she’s earned in her career. She also has ranked in top the 12 in the BIG EAST in kills per set during the last two seasons.
