Classroom

Uhl majors in biomechanical engineering, one of the more difficult majors on campus. In two years at University of Minnesota, she maintained a 3.48 GPA and earned Big 12 All-Academic honors. At Stanford, where she transferred as a junior, she has a GPA of 3.79.

Character

At Stanford, she is interested in the research and development of prosthetic limbs, which is an area she has grown fascinated with in her biomechanical engineering major. Uhl was captain of her soccer and lacrosse teams at Eden Prairie (Minn.) High School.

Community

Uhl was involved in 150 hours of community service in 2013, which involved feeding and clothing the homeless in downtown Minneapolis, doing a variety of volunteer work while playing for the Ottawa Fury summer team, and helping conduct clinics with Stanford teammates. Uhl also has been involved in outreach through her home church in Minnesota.

Competition

Uhl is the No. 2 active scorer in NCAA Division I in both goals (48) and points (109). She led the nation with 21 goals and 51 points in 2012 while at Minnesota, earning NCSCAA third-team All-America and All-Big Ten first-team honors. At Stanford in 2013, Uhl scored 12 goals, tying her for the Pac-12 lead. Uhl has been named to the Hermann Trophy watch list the past two years.
