Trevor Holder

Classroom

Holder holds a 3.25 grade point average and was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll last spring. A Risk Management & Insurance major, he was also named to the UGA Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.

Character

As a junior, Holder was considered the leader of the team both on the field and off as he was the model student athlete, succeeding on the field and in the classroom. He turned down an offer from t pro baseball, and returned to the same role as team leader in 2009.

Community

Holder is active in the community as has participated in the Georgia baseball team’s visits to local hospitals. He also visited the Omaha Home for Boys during last year’s trip the College World Series.

Competition

Holder was the ace of the Georgia team that finished as College World Series runner up in 2008 and was named All-SEC after posting eight wins. He was drafted in the 10th round by the Florida Marlins in last June’s MLB Draft, but opted to return to Georgia for his senior season and was named 2009 Preseason All-SEC by Baseball America.
