At Saint Joseph’s, he has an internship as a financial analyst within the Athletic Department. He works directly under the direction of Athletic Director Jill Bodensteiner. He has also interned as a financial analyst with Envestnet/FIDx, a Finance Tech company that is focused on providing a platform to allow financial advisors to have easier access to annuities.

Kahlenbeck will pursue a career in private equity, consulting, or as a financial analyst following his collegiate career.

Character

Kahlenbeck is the President of Saint Joseph’s Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a member of the SJU Athletics Steering Committee and SJU Athletics Leadership Academy, a facilitator on SJU’s DEI Peer Panel, and a Presidential Scholarship Recipient.

“Kahlenbeck is a natural leader. He is confident, efficient, and will always make decisions with high integrity and for the well-being of whatever organization he is involved with. He is extremely intelligent and successful in the classroom, maintaining a 4.0 GPA, and also finds the time to be a stellar student-athlete and volunteer for several leadership groups and committees at St Joe’s. Kahlenbeck also mentors many of the younger members of the men’s soccer team by offering guidance and advice for school and in soccer. He was voted to be a team captain by his teammates and coaches this past year. The thing that is most impressive is that he makes a positive impact with all of those around him; he will identify what is needed to succeed and will collaborate with the group to create a teamwork environment to achieve the objective.”
- Head Coach Don D’Ambra

Community

Kahlenbeck participated in two mission trips to Costa Rica to build houses and is an annual participant in Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Service Day.

He participated in the Northview Church’s Annual Volunteer Day and turned in over 50 hours of community service in high school as a part of Lawrence North High School’s National Honors Society.

Competition

Kahlenbeck appeared in 32 matches, including 16 starts, during the 2017 and 2018 seasons before missing the 2019 campaign due to injury.

In those first two seasons, he scored a goal and dished out four assists as a winger, including the game-winning goal in SJU’s early-season win over Quinnipiac.
