Classroom

Allie currently maintains a 3.67 GPA. She was named to the 2012 Capital One Academic All-American Division I Softball Third Team. Cashion is a 4 year member of the Southern Conference Honor Roll and is a Student Athlete Advisory Board Representative. She has held an actuarial internship with Traditional Life Valuation where she helped improve processes in Access to run queries more efficiently.

Character

Cashion was named team captain where she strengthens others ability to have a constructive perspective on criticism and establishes a willingness to take responsibility and improve practices. She also is an active member at both Appalachian State and in her community with volunteer work. In her role on the Student Athlete Advisory Board she works with fellow athletes to improve the atmosphere on campus.

Community

In 2009 and 2010 Allie spent time Gift-Wrapping Christmas presents at church, and aided as a cameraman for her high school basketball team during a Christmas tournament. Last year she volunteered at a Special Olympics Winter Dance. She also planned Battle of the Sports Event and Sports Banquet for athletes, participated in Kickball for Africa, and helped work Softball Camps.

Competition

Cashion was named first team all-SoCon for the second time last season after leading the Mountaineers in nine different hitting categories including batting average (.396), slugging percentage (.836), on base percentage (.494), runs batted in (51), triples (2), homeruns (16), total bases (112), walks (24) and hit by pitch (3). The Waxhaw, N.C. native currently ranks in the top-10 in 11 different single season records and ten career records. Cashion is both the individual season record holder (51) and career record holder (140) in runs batted in and is just 13 homeruns shy of the career home runs record with 31. The senior outfielder was named North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association College Division I All-State Softball team in 2011, filling one of the 12 spots chosen throughout colleges in the state for exemplary softball skills.
