Community

Fiser has worked with Big Brothers, Big Sisters and has also volunteered with HopeKids organization her entire Gopher career. With HopeKids, she participated with Christmas with Santa with HopeKids.

“In hopekids there were a bunch of different games and activities spread throughout our football stadium that the kids could go to. One year our team worked the rock climbing wall and we helped kids get strapped into the harnesses while encouraging some to face their fears and give them confidence to climb to the top. Another station we worked at was the kickball station. My teammates and I had a lot of fun playing alongside the kids in this game, the kids wanted to see how far they could kick the ball. Every year, we also do Cookies with Santa. HopeKids would come in with their families and it was at a big arcade area at the top of mall of America. So kids and families went to go and play games and then we worked at stations that involved decorating sugar cookies with the kids, kids taking a picture with Santa, decorating their own ornaments and different crafts, and then there was also just a coloring station!”
