Amber is a three-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star, a three time NFCA Scholar Athlete and member of the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll.  She has also been on the Dean’s List 10 times - every quarter since she came to DePaul. 3.384 GPA


A 2009 DePaul Softball Captain, Amber has been a member of DePaul’s Captains Council for three seasons.  In 2008, she represented DePaul at BIG EAST Student-Athlete Advisory Council and in 2006, she represented DePaul at the NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Conference.


Amber has assisted with “Dream Halloween” an event for children affected by AIDS for two years.  Volunteers provided them with a safe environment located indoors where they could have a night to go trick-or-treating and dress up in Halloween costumes.  She has also assisted church members with preparing food for the homeless at the St. Vincent Food Pantry Window.  In addition, Amber has gathered funds to purchase items to be used in sack lunches for the homeless.  For four years, Amber has assembled individual meals and taken them to a local homeless shelter to be distributed.  She has also participated in “Making Strides Event for Breast Cancer” for two years in which the team raised money (2008 - $4,680, 2007 - $8,500) for Breast Cancer awareness.  After the money was raised, Amber walked in a 5 mile breast cancer walk.  She also served in a Pen Pal Workshop with Chicago Public School Children where she currently exchanges letters from two children and respond to their letters frequently.  Additionally, she has volunteered for the DePaul University Athletic charity dinner and organized a canned food drive for the athletic department last season.


A 2009 USA Softball Top-50 Watch 2008 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Second Team All-American at third base, Amber has a commanding presence on the field.  During her junior campaign, she received multiple honors including:  Second Team All-American at third base… first-team All-Mideast honors at third… first team All-Conference player at third… BIG EAST Conference Championship All-Tournament Team…  won her third consecutive team batting title with a .403 average…  single-season school record 87 hits… her .403 average was the 43rd best in DI… led the BIG EAST in the categories of season average (.403), hits (87) total plate appearances (250) and at bats (216)... averaged 1.26 hits per game and tallied 28 multiple hit games… led DePaul with a .439 batting average during conference play…  had a team-best and season-long 15 game hitting streak from March 30-April 18, during that time hit .500 with 13 hits… committed just seven errors and boasted a .970 fielding percentage at third base… team-best and ranks seventh in the BIG EAST with 14 stolen bases… third on team with 10 sacrifice hits… third on the team with nine doubles and second with two triples.. team-best and fifth best in the BIG EAST with a .463 on base percentage… team-best and ranked third in the BIG EAST with 158 assists.  In 2007, she was named to the NFCA Second Team All-Mideast Region and Second Team All-BIG EAST at third base.  That season, she also claimed the Team Batting Title (.340 average).  Her sophomore season, Amber was tabbed 2006 Second Team All-BIG EAST at third base and received her inaugural Team Batting Title (.316 average).
