Classroom

In the classroom, Austin Bull features a 3.72 cumulative GPA in his business administration degree program. His semester GPA has been as high as 4.0 and has never been below a 3.33. He is on track to graduate this spring.

Character

Bull is an upstanding person of high character, setting an example for his teammates. He is respected and looked up to by fellow teammates. He is a student of the game of baseball with some of his top hobbies including studying swings of baseball legends and reading baseball-related books.

Community

Bull has been involved with GCU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Toy Drive and has helped collect turkeys during the holidays at local grocery stores through St. Mary’s Food Bank. He and his teammates also have been involved in GCU’s yearly Welcome Week move-in, helping move the student body into their dorms.

Competition

Bull will be a four-year starter, and he had already started 136 games as of nomination time. He holds a .302 career batting average highlighted by a .339 mark as a sophomore in 2017. Bull bursted onto the scene with an All-WAC Second Team freshman campaign in which he hit .285 with a .379 on-base percentage. He has spent significant time as GCU’s leadoff hitter over the past three seasons and has drawn 85 walks to accumulate a .399 on-base percentage.
