Austin Embler

Classroom

Austin Embler graduated in four and a half years with a double major in business administration and information systems management. He is now in graduate school working toward a master’s degree in information technology. Embler made the SoCon All-Academic Team in 2018. Embler was part of the SoCon Honor Roll in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Character

Embler has exemplified leadership on the field and in the classroom by setting a standard with his work ethic. Embler has become an excellent example of a student-athlete during his time at UNCG.

Community

Embler has been a part of many different community service opportunities throughout his time while at UNCG. He has spent time helping with the beautification of Greensboro and helping people in need. Embler has also been active in the UNCG athletics community. He has spent time actively participating in unity events that are held by UNCG Athletics.

Competition

Embler has been a fixture at second base during his time at UNCG. In 2018, he was voted preseason All-SoCon and finished the season with first-team All-SoCon honors. In the 2017 season, Embler served as UNCG’s leadoff hitter while helping the team to a SoCon Championship and a post-season appearance. Prior to red-shirting during the 2016 season, Embler made 19 appearances and sported a .281 batting average as a freshman in 2015 while playing multiple infield positions.
