Classroom

Skinner earned two degrees at Kentucky - communication studies and disorders, as well as interdisciplinary early childhood education.

For her success in the classroom, she was named to the 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-America first team. She has also received recognition on the SEC First Year Honor Roll, Academic All-SEC selection twice, and SEC Academic Honor Roll each year of eligibility.

Skinner currently carries a 4.0 GPA in pursuit of a master’s degree in communications sciences and disorders at Baylor.

Character

Both at Kentucky and now Baylor, Skinner has been one of the most respected players in the locker room. She has battled through multiple injuries in her career and played through them, epitomizing toughness.

Skinner is a finalist for the 2020 NCAA Woman of the Year.

Community

Skinner was Kentucky’s representative on the SEC Community Service Team last season.

She has volunteered hundreds of hours of service across the global, serving in local communities and on mission trips. Skinner has spent time in hospitals, NICUs, Early Childhood centers, and Hearing and Speech centers.

Competition

Skinner is nearing her 1,00th career kill.

Last season, she won the National Championship with Kentucky and was named to the All-Tournament Team for her play. Skinner was also named an AVCA All-America first team and AVCA All-Region selection after a stellar season.

Entering her first season with the Bears, Skinner was a unanimous All-Big 12 preseason selection.
