Classroom

Klinger will earn her degree in sociology from the University of Washington this year.

Character

Klinger transferred to the Huskies from Texas A&M and has found both her stride and home. She demonstrated a can-do attitude and short memory that make her dangerous at the plate but also revered by her teammates. Klinger has an ability to bring out the best in her teammates.

“Growth mindset is how I would describe Baylee Klingler. She’s constantly striving to learn and grow, not just as a softball player, but also as a leader, a student and a human.”
- Head Coach Heather Tarr

Community

Since arriving at Washington not long ago, Klinger has volunteered her time at softball clinics and camps.

Competition

Last season, Klinger led the Huskies in BA (.416), SLG (.792), runs (56), doubles (17), and home runs (16). She earned second team All-America and first team All-PAC-12 honors after being only one of two players in the conference to tally both 50 runs scored and driven in.

Entering 2022, Klinger’s career batting average (.436) is the best in program history.
