Character

Barbour is a two-time team captain and leader on and off the floor for his team. He’s always seen on campus at various events where he is cheering on other programs. He is an energetic, caring individual who has worked hard to become a staple in Columbia’s starting lineup after being used sparingly as a freshman.

Community

Barbour dedicates his spare time helping a variety of organizations doing community service. He is involved with Alex’s Lemonade Stand, which works with fighting pediatric cancer and donates many of his Sunday’s assisting at a soup kitchen at St. John The Divine. He also helps out at various basketball clinics in the area. Following Hurricane Sandy, spent time volunteering to help with the clean up in Far Rockaway, Queens.

Competition

Barbour is an Ivy League First Team and NABC All-District Second Teamer. He started all 28 games in 2011-12 and averaged 15.5 points per game. His .901 free-throw percentage ranked him first in the Ivy League and fourth in the NCAA. His 133 assists were the seventh highest single-season total in program history and he comes into 2012-13 ninth on the career list.
