Davis has posted a 3.46 cumulative GPA and has earned academic honors from the USNA in six of his seven completed terms. He earned 2021 Patriot League All-Academic Team honors this season.

He was named to the 2020 Patriot League All-Academic Team and 2020 first team All-Academic District by CoSIDA as part of the organization’s Academic All-America program. Upon graduation this spring, Davis will attend MIT and work toward a Master’s Degree in Applied Ocean Physics and Engineering

Character

Davis was elected the captain of the 2020-21 Navy men’s basketball team. He was also elected by his fellow team captains to serve as the “Captain of the Captains” of Navy’s 33 varsity athletic teams.

Community

Davis is serving as the President of Navy’s Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He received Navy surface warfare as his service assignment and will begin his military duty aboard a nuclear powered aircraft carrier after he completes his Master’s Degree at MIT.  He wrote the script for and had an on-camera role in a PSA video recorded by the men’s basketball for Suicide Awareness Month this fall.

Competition

For his efforts this season, Davis received 2021 first-team All-Patriot League honors. He helped Navy earn the outright No.1 seed in the Patriot League Tournament for the first time in 24 years.

Davis earned 2019-2020 second team All-Patriot League honors, leading the Mids in scoring (488 points / 16.3 ppg) and assists (75 / 2.5 apg) during the season. He is also on the watch list for the Lou Henson Award, which is presented annually to the mid-major national player of the year.

He became the 25th player in Navy history to score 1,000 career points, reaching the milestone on Nov. 28, 2020. Davis has now totaled 1,037 points in 97 career games and ranks 13th at Navy with 132 career three-point field goals made and 12th with a career free throw pct. of .763.

Davis has scored 10 or more points in 50 games and has scored at least 20 points in 12 games. 11 of his 20-point games and 45 of his 10-point games have been since the start of his sophomore year, when he permanently moved into the starting lineup. Davis led or shared the Navy lead in points in 24 games since the start of the 2018-19 season and led or shared the Navy lead in both points and assists in 9 games in that same span.
