Pereira is maintaining a 3.95 GPA while pursuing a post-baccalaureate in the psychology field after graduating from Clemson in the spring of 2021. Following her time as a Tiger, Pereira will attend medical school at Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg.

Pereira has been named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll in both of her seasons at Clemson and was an All-ACC Academic selection during the 2021 season. Most recently, she was named a Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship recipient for 2022.

Character

Pereira is a true competitor and is well respected among her peers. Her work ethic, positive attitude, and personality are the reasons she is admired by her teammates and coaches.

She is always looking to better herself and is someone that captures the “team-first” mentality in all aspects of life. Pereira always displays the utmost character.

Community

Pereira is an active member of the Clemson community participating in organizations ranging from ClemsonLIFE, Clemson Downs, Clemson Parks and Rec, Anderson Interfaith Ministries and more. She continues to find ways to get involved with the community both during and outside of the season.

Most heavily, Pereira helped begin and currently leads a Clemson affinity group called CU Pride which serves as an organization to support LGBTQ and ally student-athletes and staff. She has helped organize meetings to discuss common experiences they face in the athletic community and in the world in general as members of the LGBTQ community. She has also been the driving force at Clemson to organize Pride games for multiple sports and served as the leader for releasing videos for ACC Unity Week.

Prior to joining the Clemson team, Pereira was also heavily involved in community service projects at Furman University.

Competition

Pereira helped build the Clemson softball program from the ground up when she transferred from Furman in the fall of 2019. She has started in all 72 games she’s seen time in. She was also named to the All-ACC Tournament team in 2021.

Last season, Pereira started in 45 games for Clemson while batting .295 with 39 hits and 21 runs scored. At second base, she played an integral part in Clemson finishing 44-8 on the season, winning the ACC Regular Season title with a 29-5 record and making their first postseason appearance at the Tuscaloosa Regional in only the second year of the program.

At the midway point of the 2022 season, Pereira leads the Tigers with a .325 average with 14 runs scored and 11 RBIs. On her career, Pereira has tabbed 161 hits, 20 doubles and eight home runs – including two this season. She has scored 87 runs and brought home 59 while also stealing 22 bases.
