Carter Brown is a business administration major with a finance specialization who carries above a 3.5 grade-point average. Brown is scheduled to graduate this spring. He is a five-time dean’s list honoree. Brown has been named an Ohio State Scholar-Athlete three times, is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and was an ECAC All-Academic Team member twice. He plans to pursue a career in the finance industry, specifically helping to bring financial security to companies, individuals or families.

Character

Brown has been elected to the Buckeyes’ Leadership Council twice. The group helps guide the team and is the voice between the coaches and team. Brown has served as a lacrosse coach and counselor the past three summers, both in Maryland and Ohio.

Community

Brown has volunteered with the Heinzerling Foundation, an organization that enriches the development, education and quality of life of individuals with severe or profound developmental disabilities. He also has spent time volunteering at a retirement home, as well as with Habitat for Humanity and Lacrosse the Nations.

Competition

Brown was a first-team All-Big Ten selection as a junior after recording a career-high 37 goals, 18 assists and 55 points. A Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch entering 2016, he played in all 50 games his first three years with the squad and entered his senior campaign with 86 goals, 46 assists and 132 points. Brown was the 2013 ECAC Rookie of the Year and an All-Rookie Team selection. Brown was chosen by the Chesapeake Bayhawks in the seventh round of the 2016 MLL Draft.
