Chad Roberts is a psychology major who is doing an internship working with at-risk juveniles. He is on track to graduate in May.
Character
In the words of NKU Head Coach Todd Asalon, “Chad is one of the best leaders that I have ever coached. He is a selfless, trustworthy and tireless worker both on the field and in the weight room. He is a mature student-athlete and is always mentoring the underclassmen and helping with their transition into college baseball. I know that whatever and whenever I need Chad to step up, I can count on him to take care of things without worry. He is truly the definition of a student-athlete.”
Community
Roberts has volunteered through many organizations including Team Impact, the Children’s Hospital, Hosea House and the Down Syndrome Association.
Competition
A transfer from Sinclair CC, Roberts was a first-team All-Horizon League selection in 2017. He in 47 of the 56 games that he played in during the season and had 49 hits on the year, including 15 doubles, two triples and six home runs. He scored 33 runs and recorded 36 RBI and had a .455 slugging percentage and a .329 on base percentage.
