Classroom

Donovan, a sport management major, carries a 3.65 cumulative GPA. He has been named to the CAA Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll four times and Dean’s List five times.

Character

Donovan is a silent leader for Drexel, his actions speaking far louder than his words. He never complains, and the team leans on his work rate, determination, and attitude.

Facing adversity, Donovan is self-reflective and hols himself accountable while also encouraging more out of his team.

He has an extremely welcoming attitude towards the coaching staff, his own teammates, and everyone at the school. It has made him an easy person to speak to, especially with a roster full of diverse student-athletes needing advice in their transition to Drexel.

Community

Donovan has worked co-op at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center, who offers clinics for groups of children from the community that were set up through schools or youth groups. He would often set up a warmup for the kids or take them through a fitness exercise circuit, ,while others played squash on different courts. It was a good experience connecting with local children, and Donovan will continue doing so when he continues work after the fall season.

During his time at Drexel, Donovan has helped spearhead community efforts for the men’s soccer program. They have joined forces with TeamImpact to welcome and support Logan Williams. They have also participated in the annual holiday toy drive for the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as well as the PhillyRestart events, which serves to get the homeless men and women of the city back on their feet.

Competition

Donovan, a two-time All-CAA first team selection, capped off a terrific junior season by being named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Atlantic first team. He was also named to the CAA All-Tournament team and received CAA Offensive Player of the Week twice.

In 2018, Donovan was named to the CAA All-Rookie Team.

Heading into his senior year, Donovan was named the preseason CAA Offensive Player of the Year.
