Classroom
Christian Duarte is a solid student with a B average. He is part of a group of student-athletes in the CSUB athletic department that has improved its classwork thanks to the commitment made by the university to provide academic support for the student-athletes.
Character
Duarte leads by example. He provides a high standard for the younger players in the program to live up to and shows them how to model a true student-athlete.
Community
Duarte has been a part of the 10 community clinics and camps that Coach Richie Grant has conducted since taking over the program in 2014.
Competition
Duarte was one of 30 players selected to the 2015 preseason MAC Herman Trophy Watch, which honors the top player in college soccer. In 2013 and 2014 he earned first-team All-Conference honors and was selected first-team All-Conference by CollegeSportsMadness.
