Debell is pursing a degree in environmental science at Marshall.

Character

Since transferring to Marshall in 2018, Debell has been a leader for the program.

She stepped up when the new coaching staff arrived during her redshirt junior season. Debell loves to get her teammates involved in activities both on and off the court in an effort to help build team chemistry.

Community

At Marshall, Debell has worked in many different areas throughout the community.

She has been involved with the Sweetheart Clinic, Altizer Elementary Academic Motivation Talk, My Huntington West End Community Clean-Up, My Huntington Guyandotte Clean-Up, Altizer Elementary Dr. Seuss Day Reading, Woodlands Retirement Center Game Night, and Altizer Elementary National Reading Month. Debell has also participated in other clean-ups around campus.

Competition

Debell has been a star in her time at Marshall. She is steadily rising through the Herd record books. Entering this season, Debell was sat 10th in program history in kills (1,060) and now sits fourth (1,245). She ranks second in kills per set (3.94), trailing only former All-American Kelly-Anne Billingy. She is also fifth in total attempts.

Last season, Debell received numerous accolades for her play. She was named preseason all-conference, All-Conference USA first team, AVCA All-South Region, and the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week twice. She also received an invite to tryout for Team USA.

In 2019, Debell was named All-Conference USA first team, AVCA All-South Region, MVP of the Bulldog Invitational, and the C-USA Offensive Player of the Week three times. She was also named to the All-Conference USA second team as a freshman.
