At San Diego, Jefferis has maintained a 3.0 GPA as he works towards a degree in communication studies.
He is set to graduate this spring and after graduation, Jefferis hopes to pursue a career with the FBI or another government agency.
Character
Jefferis exemplifies a San Diego Scholar-Athlete by displaying an even-keeled demeanor on the field. He is a hard-nosed competitor that gives it his all and provides a terrific example for the underclassmen on the team.
Community
Leading both on and off the field, Jefferis has volunteered with Hope Sports to help build homes in Mexico for those in need.
He has also made breakfast for the homeless on weekends with ‘Pancake Peeps,’ and spent time over the summer mentoring the youth as he volunteered at local little leagues.
Competition
Last season, Jefferis started all 45 games at shortstop for the Toreros. He posted a .975 fielding percentage with 46 putouts and 112 assists. Offensively, Jefferis’ .341 BA was second in the WCC, and he recorded 32 RBI, 36 runs scored, and 75 total bases.
Jefferis was named to the 2019 All-WCC Freshman Team and 2021 All-WCC second team.
