Character

Drews has been a leader for the Utes for the past few seasons.

She leads by action but can be vocal when it’s needed. Drews is someone the team relies on, both on and off the court. She is dependable, welcoming, competitive, and has a passion for the sport that inspires others around her. She brings energy to practice and pushes others to get better because she is always working on her game.

Drews does everything that she can do better herself, which rubs off on the team.

Community

Drews has been an active participant in many volleyball-related service projects.

She was a volunteer coach for a clinic, coaching elementary school and middle school levels. Drews has also participated in a volunteer volleyball tournament with refugees through the Refugee Education and Training Center.

Additionally, Drews has been involved in a Salt Lake City downtown cleanup project, as well as volunteered at an elementary school game night and volleyball clinic.

Competition

Drews is the most decorated player in program history. She is the only Ute to become a two-time first team AVCA All-Americana, as well as the only player in school history to win consecutive AVCA Region Player of the Year. Drews is a three-time All-Pac-12 honoree and the program’s first ever Pac-12 Player of the Year.

She sits second all-time in school history in career kills. Drews holds the single-match record for kills in a three set, four set, and five set match.

Drews finished the last season with a nation-leading 5.21 kills per set.
