Denner was named a second team All-Academic selection by the NFCA last season, becoming the first player in program history to earn the honor since 1992.
She has also earned Academic All-MAC, NFCA Scholar-Athlete, and CoSIDA Academic All-District 5 Team recognition at Toledo.
Character
Denner’s first season with Toledo (2020) was one to remember. She led the team with a .408 BA, 19 RBI, .690 SLG, and .462 OBP. Denner also tied for the team-lead with five home runs and tied for second with 10 runs scored.
She enjoyed an even better season the following year as a redshirt senior. Denner was named the MAC Player of the Year after recording a .421 BA, .841 SLG, .550 OBP.
Community
Denner has volunteered at multiple organizations while at Toledo. She has participated with Lucky Paws Cat Rescue, Mini Mutt Rescue, and Laura’s Home Women’s Crisis Center.
Competition
Denner was named the 2021 MAC Player of the Year after starting all 53 games and tallying a .421 BA, .550 OBP, .841 SLG, 13 home runs, and 20 doubles.
She set single-season program records for doubles, walks (37), SLG, and home runs.
