Devontae Cacok is majoring in communication studies and minoring in health. According to his academic coordinator, Cacok’s professors really enjoy him as a student and always provide positive feedback on his academic performance.
Character
Cacok is one the finest student-athletes UNCW has produced in any sport. He has achieved many accolades while assisting his mother in her fight against cancer.

Community
Cacok is a regular speaker at local elementary schools. He is was the keynote speaker at Eaton Elementary School’s sixth grade graduation in May 2018.
Competition
Cacok is a first-team Mid-Major Preseason selection by NBC Sports, a preseason first-team All-CAA pick by Blue Ribbon Sports and a preseason first-team All-CAA selection. Last season, he was a first-team All-CAA selection after averaging a double-double of 17.7 points and 13.5 rebounds, recording 22 double-doubles. Cacok led all D-I players in rebounds per game in 2017-18 and in field goal percentage (.800) in 2016-17. He is one of only four players in NCAA history to lead nation in two separate categories. Cacok is also a two-time All-CAA Defensive Team selection while setting the UNCW single-season rebounding record in his junior year. He scored a career-high 35 points at East Carolina on Nov. 30, 2017.
