Classroom

Crawford was a Capital One Academic All-America Second Team selection in 2012, an Academic All-District selection in 2011 and a two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick. He is majoring in economics with a 3.33 GPA.

Character

Crawford is an outstanding representative of Northwestern University who conducts himself with class. He is a team captain and an outstanding example for all student-athletes through his actions on the court, in the classroom and in the community.

Community

Crawford is extremely active in the community, assisting in Northwestern’s Relay For Life and Dance Marathon efforts as well as working with Special Olympics and other special needs children. He has made visits to local schools and also visited with individuals at the Illinois Youth Center which is a youth correctional facility.

Competition

Crawford was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2011-12. He ranked sixth in the Big Ten with an average of 16.1 points per game, 11th with a .412 3-point field goal percentage and 13th with a .484 field goal percentage as a junior. He scored a season-high 34 points at No. 21 Creighton and was named MVP of the Charleston Classic. He was the 2009-10 Big Ten Freshman of the Year and has helped Northwestern to postseason berths in each of his first three seasons, including a school-record win total over that span.
