Borczak, a fifth-year senior, has been on the Horizon League Honor Roll every semester at Oakland. He maintains a 3.06 GPA while majoring in integrative studies.

“Borczak has already in his young 22-year-old life endured a lifetime of devastating heartache, but he’s done it with character, maturity, positivity, and determination. He’s honored his beloved family members that have passed by becoming a tremendous young man on the field, off the field, in the classroom, and in the community with a bright future ahead of him in all his future aspirations, goals, and dreams.”

Community

“Community service is one of the important pillars at Oakland University. Borczak has been a significant contributor to our commitment to the community with OUCares, TeamIMPACT, Adopt a Trail, and ALS Awareness - our main areas of focus.”

Competition

Borczak enjoyed a tremendous season last spring, culminating in being named Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year. He was named to the Horizon League first team four the second straight season after ranking third in the league, and 23rd in the nation, in points (18). Borczak ranked second in the league, and 20th in the country, in goals (7) as well. For his success, he was also named to the United Soccer Coaches All-North Region first team.

Hailing from Detroit, Michigan, Borczak received multiple Player of the Week and Team of the Week accolades during 2020-21.

Prior to the 2021 season, Borczak was named to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List.
