Classroom
Hartong was a 2011 Western Athletic Conference all-academic selection and a 2012 Big West all-academic selection. Both awards recognize student-athletes with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Character
Hartong has demonstrated a resilience to perform despite injury. She has played and excelled in 3 different positions. An upstanding individual both on and off the court she demonstrates leadership qualities and her work ethic is second to none.
Community
Hartong visited and fed the homeless at River of Life homeless shelter. Through SAAC, she also read to elementary school children and volunteered at the YMCA volleyball clinic and other various clinics and homeless shelter visits.
Competition
Hartong was a 2012 First-Team All-American, All-Region, and Big West Player of the Year. She was named AVCA National Player of the Week (Oct. 29) and is a 4-time BWC player of the week.
