Character
In addition to being an All-American on the field, Lochten has long been an outspoken advocate for LGBTQ rights on campus. She has grown tremendously in her comfort level addressing such issues since first arriving on campus four years ago.
Community
As a member of the FAU Softball team, Lochten regularly volunteers with numerous community service projects on and around campus, including Boca Helping Hands, Habitat for Humanity and Emb, which is an on-campus event that celebrates diversity.
Competition
A three-year starter at shortstop, Lochten set several-single season offensive records as a junior and became just the third player in school history to be named an All-American, as she was named NFCA third-team All-American. Also a two-time first-team All-Conference performer (2017, 2016), she is on pace to become the first player in school history to steal 100 career bases and is among the program’s top-10 leaders in almost every major category.
