Heading into the fall of 2018, Emily Ogle boasted a 3.99 GPA as a kinesiology major. Not only has Ogle been honored by the Big Ten for academic success, she has been honored as a second-team CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2017.

Character

According to Head Coach Erica Dambach, “Ogle is the epitome of a Penn State women’s soccer student-athlete. When we talk about the three pillars of our Penn State women’s soccer program—attitude of a champion, blue collar and a united family—she embodies all three.”

Community

Ogle and the Nittany Lions participate in post-game autograph sessions and help organize and run youth clinics. She is a member of the athletic director leadership institute and Roar for Reading.

 

Competition

As of Sept. 6, 2018, Ogle had played and started in 81 contests, and her 81 games played were leading the nation among D-I women’s soccer student-athletes. In the all-time Penn State rankings, Ogle ranks 23rd in points (51) and 23rd in goals (17). She was a member of the 2015 NCAA Championship team, and she redshirted during her 2016 season to join the USA U-20 WNT at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
