Erika Piancastelli is a two-time CoSIDA All-District First Team selection, a Southland Conference All-Academic Team honoree and has been named the Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year twice. She has been named to the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll three times.

Character

Piancastelli possesses tremendous character and is a strong leader. Her work ethic is far beyond what is expected of her, and her teammates look up to her both on and off the field. Her personal accolades mean little to her; she just wants her team to succeed and to represent her university and community in a positive manner.

Community

Piancastelli has participated in the Ethel Precht Breast Cancer Walk and has helped individuals with Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. She also has been a counselor at a kids camp.

Competition

Piancastelli is a two-time NFCA All-American (second-team 2016, third-team 2015) and has been named the Southland Conference Player and Hitter of the Year three times as well as being selected to the All-Southland Conference First Team three times. She has been named the Southland Conference Tournament MVP twice, named to the All-Louisiana Team twice and was named the Louisiana Freshman of the Year in 2015. She was an NFCA Top 10 Freshman of the Year Finalist in 2015 and was a Preseason USA Top 25 Finalist in 2016. She holds three McNeese career records (home runs, runs batted in, walks), three McNeese single-season records (home runs, runs scored, walks), and one conference career record (walks). She entered her senior season ranked third in the NCAA in career walks with 167.
