Walker is on pace to graduate and earn his degree in Sports Administration in the spring of 2012.

Character

Viewed as a leader in the locker room, Walker chooses to lead by example, putting in countless hours with the strength and conditioning staff and his coaches throughout the season and offseason to make sure that he can compete at an elite level. Through his hard work put in, Walker has earned the respect and admiration of his teammates and coaching staff.

Community

During his time in Gainesville, Walker has volunteered with his Gator teammates for events such as Climb for Cancer. At the Climb for Cancer Foundation‘s Brandon Ling Memorial Sports Camp, Walker and other UF student-athletes spent time with cancer patients and their siblings doing fun activities, taking pictures and signing autographs.

Competition

Walker, a two-time second-team All-SEC selection, is one of the unquestioned leaders of the Gators team. Last season, Walker led the Gators’ Elite Eight squad in points (14.6 points per game) and steals (41), while ranking second in assists (125). Through his three seasons in Gainesville, Walker has amassed 1,330 points and 377 assists, which rank Walker ninth in the Gators’ all-time record book, while the 1,330 points ranks 24th.
