Evan Chenier

Criminal Justice


Chenier carries a 3.67 GPA while working towards a degree in criminal justice at VCU.

He has earned multiple awards, including Dean’s List honors five times and earning a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll every semester.


Epitomizing what it means to be a Ram, Chenier is a true leader for his team. He always holds his peers accountable but is able to maintain a light-hearted personality. Chenier has been influential in helping lead the program forward.


While at VCU, Chenier has contributed to efforts with the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree. In addition, he wears yellow laces during games to help raise awareness for pediatric cancer.


Helping lead VCU to the 2021 A-10 Championship, Chenier has cemented his place as the team’s bullpen ace. He led the Rams with six saves while going 3-0 and posting a 4.07 ERA last season. Chenier’s biggest save of the year came in the A-10 Championship as he threw the final 2.1 innings without allowing a run to preserve a one-run game.
