Community
As part of the Yale lacrosse team, he serves as a mentor to Sterling, a terminally-ill cancer patient, and his brother, Hunter. In 2008-09, he was the only American in the Langley (British Columbia) Thunder Junior A Lacrosse Club and actively recruited 6 more American teammates for 2009-10. He volunteers as a business assistant for the Seattle Nuclear Medicine/Ultrasound Associates, and along with taking classes at Yale he also works as an academic associate at the Yale Eye Center in New Haven, Conn.
Competition
Mahony is a two-time, second-team All-Ivy and All-New England selection. He has 54 goals and 65 points in his career. He was the Winthrop A. Smith Award recipient (team award for conditioning, team play and spirit) in 2011. Mahony was drafted in 2012 by the MLL Boston Cannons.
