Hannah Flippen is a 2016 first-team CoSIDA Academic All-American, first-team Pac 12 All-Academic selection and 2015 first-team Pac 12 All-Academic honoree and currently holds a 3.59 cumulative GPA.
Character
Serving as team captain for the second-straight season, Flippen is noted to be “an exemplary student-athlete and everything you could ask from as a person” by Head Coach Amy Hogue.
Community
Flippen helps in the community with camps and instruction. She also works with Green Urban Lunch Box to help with food sharing in the Utah community as well as takes part in a number of Utah student-athlete initiatives.
Competition
Flipped was a third-team 2016 NFCA All-American, the Pac 12 Player of the Year and a first-team NFCA All-Pacific Region honoree. She also is a member of the USA Softball Team and was a member of the first-team All Pac 12 and Pac 12 All-Defensive teams, ESPN National Player of the Week (3/30), and College Sports Madness Pac 12 Player of the Week (4/19). For her career, she owns the highest batting average of any Ute ever at .384 and is fifth all-time with 149 runs scored. She led the league with a .413 batting average and was second in the Pac 12 with a .510 on-base percentage.
