The owner of a 3.6 GPA with an economics major and business institutions minor, Jack Dunn has been named Academic All-Big Ten in both years he has been eligible. Additionally, he was named CoSIDA Academic All-District after the 2018 season.

Character

Dunn is an upstanding student-athlete who is committed to success on the field, in the community and in the classroom. A team captain, he is a tremendous example and leader for the on-the-rise program.

Community

Dunn and the baseball team have been heavily involved with Team IMPACT, a national organization whose mission is to improve the quality of life for children facing life threatening and chronic illnesses through the power of team. Northwestern baseball “drafted” Sam Horcher, who has a rare vascular condition and included him in team activities, even giving him his own locker.

Additionally, Dunn is involved in team trips to Family Focus, an Evanston foundation that helps support underprivileged families.

Competition

Dunn was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2018. As of nomination time, he had started all 160 games of his college career while owning a .267 career batting average and a career OPS of .960. Dunn has stolen 39 bases, led by a career-high 21 in 2018. He has a 60 career RBI.
