Jackie Brewster has been named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll in all three of her seasons so far. In addition, she was named the Patriot League Scholar Athlete of the Year as a junior as well as being named to the Academic All-Patriot League Team. This year, Brewster had the highest first semester GPA on the team with a perfect 4.0. She helped the team to a 3.27 overall fall term GPA. Brewster’s 4.0 was one of only 11 recorded by Crusader student-athletes in the fall. During her time at Holy Cross, Brewster has maintained a 3.9 cumulative GPA.

Character

Brewster’s work ethic, commitment to her program and commitment to her teammates has been unmatched over the last four years. She goes above and beyond what is asked of her to achieve success for her team. She demands more of herself in workouts and out of required practice times. Off the field, Brewster has been an incredible resource and friend for her teammates and greater community by providing constant support for those around her. She has given back by engaging in such activities as becoming a tutor on campus, serving as the president of both the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. She cares deeply for others and leads with a passion and heart that is contagious to anyone who is lucky enough to be around her. Brewster embodies what it means to be a student-athlete and lives out Holy Cross’ mission each and every day.

Community

Brewster truly lives a life that is dedicated to others. During her time at Holy Cross, she has led multiple community service outreach initiatives. Within the program, she has served as the community service coordinator. In this role, Brewster is tasked with developing and finding all community service initiates for the program. Because of her commitment, the team has volunteered more than 1,000 hours during her time in this position. The team has served as mentors to the Worcester Youth Community, advocates for cancer research and participants in food drives and charity fundraisers.

On a larger scale, Brewster serves as the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. In this role, she acts as an advocate for student-athletes on campus. Additionally, she spearheads community service initiatives as a member of the community engagement subcommittee. Brewster goes out of her way to be engaged in the local Worcester community. She lives the mission every day at Holy Cross and truly embodies what is means to be “men and women for and with others.”

Competition

Brewster has started every single game she has played in as a member of the Crusaders. As a junior, she was selected first-team All-Patriot League after leading the team with a .362 average with 26 runs and 51 hits. She also led the league in on-base percentage at .452 and in doubles with 14. On the year, she held a .987 fielding percentage. As a sophomore, she ranked third on the team with 59 put outs. She also recorded 23 runs and 30 hits on the year. As a freshman, Brewster had the most doubles on the team with seven and the most stolen bases with 13. She was second on the team in triples with two, hits with 40 and batting average with a .296.
