Jacob Stover is a two-time member of the Loyola University Maryland Dean’s List, earning the honor in the Spring and Fall of 2018, and he was a member of the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll with a perfect 4.0 grade-point average after his junior season in 2018.

Character

Stover has been an energetic member of the team and vocal leader for the Greyhounds since stepping onto the field as a freshman in 2016. He has excelled in leading a defense that has ranked in the NCAA top 10 over the four seasons he has been on the team.

Community

Stover has been involved in several community service and outreach programs with the men’s lacrosse program and through Loyola including serving as a counselor at Greyhound Goalie Camp, working with Harlem Youth Lacrosse and running his own goalie camp for children.

Competition

Stover was named the Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Year and All-Patriot League First Team in 2018 after leading the league in save percentage and finishing second in goals-against average. He was named a Preseason All-American by Inside Lacrosse’s Face-Off Yearbook in 2019, as well.

Stover came on early in his freshman year and won the starting job, helping the Greyhounds advance to the NCAA semifinals in his first season. He has a 32-10 record in goal for the Greyhounds with a career .547 save percentage and a 8.08 goals-against average.
