Character

Talley has an outgoing personality, always caring about the welfare of her family, friends, and teammates. She has been kind, genuine, and makes concerted efforts to be inclusive. She does all of this while demonstrating an acute sense of values and beliefs held by others.

It’s the evolution of these characteristics during her time at Arizona which have been the most transformative. In her maturation through the years, Talley’s ability to have fierce and honest conversations, as well as collaboratively work to unite those around her, has been a seperating factor in her development.

Her compassion to fight for equality and injustice, while bringing others into the conversation, demonstrates this growth daily.

Community

Talley loves to affect the lives of children through her story. She enjoys helping them understand and believe that they can achieve anything, with no limitations. There were not many female biracial players to serve as a role model when she was younger, so she aspires to be that person for children now.

In her time at Arizona, Talley has focused her community service efforts at a variety of camps and clinics. She has assisted with Girl Scouts, earning their badges, reading to classrooms, and motivating children to believe they can achieve anything.

Being a student-athlete at Arizona, she uses her diversity to connect with children. Through her actions and words, Talley is able to inspire young girls in the Tucson community.

Competition

Talley started to thrive in 2018, playing every match in her second season. She was the highest goal scorer on the team (7) as a sophomore. Talley also had the third most game-winning goals (4) and seventh most shots in the PAC-12 (64).

In 2019, Talley started all 20 matches. She finished with a both a career and school record 10 goals, eight assists, and 28 points. She earned a career high three braces and had four game winning goals, all against PAC-12 opponents. For her efforts, she was named to the PAC-12 All-Conference first team and All-Pacific Region second team.

In the 2020-21 season, Talley has three goals and one assist so far, with two being game winners. Her playing rights were acquired by Racing Louisville FC.
