Classroom
Zimmerman is majoring in exercise science at Creighton.
She was named to the 2020-21 Dean’s List, 2020 CoSIDA Academic All-District VII first team, and is a three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team selection.
Character
Zimmerman is a team captain for the nationally-ranked Blue Jays.
She rarely leaves the floor as a six-rotation player and motivates her teammates both verbally and by example. Head Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth has called Zimmerman the glue to the team.
Community
Zimmerman has participated with multiple initiatives at Creighton.
She has been involved with ABIDE and Night Out With The Jays. While in Slovenia on a team trip, Zimmerman met with school kids and assisted with OneWorld Community Health Centers.
Competition
Zimmerman’s career as a Blue Jay has been full of accolades.
She is a two-time All-BIG EAST first team selection and was named an All-America honorable mention the last two seasons. Zimmerman was also named the 2020 AVCA East Region Player of the Year.
She became the first in Creighton history to be named MVP of consecutive tournaments and has three to her name.
So far this season, Zimmerman is leading the Blue Jays in kills for a second consecutive campaign.
