Jake Rozhansky boasts a 3.534 grade point average as a Criminology and Criminal Justice major.

Character

A team captain in 2017, Rozhansky provides incredible leadership to a team looking to rebound after a difficult exit from the NCAA Tournament last season. He is a positive influence on his teammates and classmate and is eager to accept any role the coaching staff delegates to him.

Community

Rozhansky has been a leader on the team while working with Team Impact and the “signing” of Keith Poe, a 17 year old who was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at 6 years old.

Competition

Last season, Rozhansky’s first at Maryland, he started in all 21 matches for the Terps, who finished with an unbeaten regular season (16-0-2) and posted a school-record 15-game winning streak. Rozhansky finished with three goals and eight assists while leading Maryland to the Big Ten regular season and tournament crowns. He had two goals so far this season at the point of his nomination (Sept. 7). This past summer, Rozhansky led Team U.S.A. to a gold medal at the 2017 Maccabiah Games in Israel. He scored all three goals in the championship game, netting a hat trick and racking up Golden Boot honors. He concluded the tournament with six goals.
