Character

Jones has been a four-year starter for the Cardinals and has been the face of the program since he stepped on campus. He came in to a program that was coming off a 6-24 record and was under the direction of a new head coach, and since then he has been the premier student-athlete and spokesman for the program on and off the court. Jones has handled his duties and time in the spotlight with the utmost character, always looking at what is best for the program.

Community

Jones has played an integral role in the Cardinals Care program, in which the team has done numerous community-service projects. Through the program, Jones has visited grade schools, missionaries, youth groups and helped with an “Adopt-a-Family” sponsorship during the holiday season.

Competition

As a junior, Jones earned first-team All-MAC honors after leading the team with 14.7 points and 8.4 rebounds per game. He enters his senior season ranked 20th all-time in Ball State history in scoring with 1,182 points and seventh all-time in rebounding with 720 rebounds. He has started 91 of 93 games in his career and has helped the Cardinal improve their win total each season, including a 19-win campaign as a junior. He was named the MAC Freshman of the Year in 2009 and second-team All-MAC in 2010.
