Character

Brewster is a San Diego native whose maturity has enabled him to take to the east coast and thrive as a student-athlete and proactive member of the community even with the academic workload of being a mathematics major. As a member of the lacrosse team, Brewster has been voted by his peers to serve as a three-time captain, three-time member of UMBC’s leadership council and has been the leader for the team’s Big Brothers program.

Community

Brewster has been involved through the team with volunteer services with Harlem Lacrosse, Relay Elementary School, the HeadStrong Foundation and Team Impact.

Competition

Brewster, a starting defenseman in his freshman, sophomore and junior years, anchors a defense that has gone from the 52nd scoring defense in the nation in 2016 to the No. 1 scoring defense in the nation in 2018. Throughout that statistical period Brewster led the close defense in ground balls and caused turnovers and consistently marked the opposing teams top offensive threat. Brewster was named to the All-America East Second Team in 2017 and 2018 and the All-America East All-Conference team in 2017.
