Jonathan King is a two-time All-ACC Academic selection (2013, 2015) and a three-time ACC Academic Honor Roll recipient (2013, 2014, 2015).

Character

King traveled to the Dominican Republic during the semester break in 2015 to participate in a service trip with the Georgia Tech FCA. He volunteered to serve as a student-athlete representative for the Georgia Tech Athletic Association strategic planning process during the summer and fall of 2015 and is a team captain for 2016 season.

Community

King has helped four years with rolling skating for the Special Olympics Winter Indoor Games. He also has assisted with the Michael Isenhour Toy Drive Collection/Delivery (two years), served as an FCA outreach speaker, represented GT at metro high schools (four years) and worked as a mentor at the Bright Futures Academy (one year). In addition to the other community service, King has offered/volunteered pitching workshops back home in Murfreesboro, Tenn., throughout his collegiate career (four years).

Competition

King has 30 career starts in 44 appearances with a 13-10 career record and a 3.61 ERA. He owns a 2-to-1 career strikeout-to-walks ratio. In 2015, he made 15 starts going 4-5 with 3.82 ERA in 92.0 innings.
