Character

Brewster is a two-time team captain for the Mountaineers. She leads by example both on and off the pitch, teaching younger teammates what it means to play for West Virginia.

She has started all 64 matches in her career in part because of her leadership.

Community

In accordance with the history that the Mountaineers program has been making, Brewster has been a large part of the team’s on-going efforts to foster community involvement.

Each year, Brewster and West Virginia sponsor regular-season home matches that help benefit local organizations. Recently, they have done so for the WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital and WVU Cancer Institute.

Likewise, she helps local kids in the community get involved in soccer. Along with her teammates, Brewster hosts local clinics to help children work on their soccer skills, preparing them to potentially be in her shoes as a member of the team.

Competition

In one of the most successful careers in program history, Brewster has collected numerous accolades at West Virginia.

Last season, Brewster was named the 25th United Soccer Coaches All-American in program history.  She was honored as the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Midwest Region first team, one year after being named to the second team.

Brewster has earned All-Big 12 honors in all three years, earning first team status once and second team status twice. In her freshman campaign, she was also named to the All-Big 12 Freshman Team.

Entering her senior year, Brewster was named to the preseason All-Big 12 Team and MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for the second consecutive season.
