Bloomer graduated with a degree in economics.
She is currently studying educational leadership and policy analysis in graduate school.
Character
Bloomer is a team captain for the reigning Big Ten champions. She is the field general for a Badgers’ defense that has allowed only 29 goals in 46 games.
Serving as a backup goalkeeper during her first two seasons, Bloomer has grown into her role. She is a true competitor who sets a great example in training sessions for younger teammates.
Community
Since arriving at Wisconsin, Bloomer has volunteered for a variety of activities with Badgers Give Back. She has participated in food drives, school visits, youth soccer clinics, children’s hospital visits, and senior center visits.
Competition
Bloomer had an excellent 2019 season and was recognized for it. She was named the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year and selected to the All-America first team, All-Region first team, and All-Big Ten first team.
She earned 12 shutouts, leading Wisconsin to the 2019 Big Ten Championship and the team’s second consecutive NCAA 16 appearance. Bloomer also allowed only 12 goals for a 0.53 GAA, the sixth-best mark in school history.
For her career, Bloomer has 20 career shutouts and 31 career wins for Wisconsin.
