Character

Holland’s character has undergone a great evolution in his time at Hofstra. He came in as a hot-headed freshman and is now one of the most relied-on leaders on the team as a senior. He has moved from criticism to guidance, from hot-tempered to competitively driven. His respect and adoration for his teammates has grown tremendously, and he has learned to put the team first, and the rest has followed, marking an incredible growth in his four seasons.

Community

Holland has been involved in community service projects with the team, including involvement with local youth soccer programs. Holland is known for his ability to work well with children, always putting a smile on their faces.

Competition

A 2015 second-team All-American, the 2015 CAA Player of the Year and 2016 Preseason Player of the Year in a nationally elite conference, Holland is easily one of the best Hofstra has ever seen. He finished the 2015 season with eight goals and nine assists, leading the Pride to a CAA regular season championship, tournament championship and the team’s first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2006. He also was named an ECAC second-team All-Star in 2015 and has been named All-CAA in each of his first three seasons.
