Josh Hart

Villanova University

Josh Hart is on course to graduate in May 2017 and has been a solid student. He was part of the Wildcats group that has earned the 2015-16 BIG EAST Academic Team Excellence Award.

Hart played an important role as an upperclassmen in 2015-16. This season, he will serve as a team captain alongside fellow seniors Kris Jenkins and Darryl Reynolds. Josh’s determination and effort each time he takes the court have helped him earn a place as one of Villanova’s most beloved players during his time in college.

During his four seasons at Villanova, Hart and his teammates have participated in a series of community initiatives. The most prominent of those has come during the university’s annual Day of Service. In September 2016 Hart and his teammates helped pack meals to feed the hungry through a local Philadelphia organization.

Hart was named the preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year after being named a unanimous first-team All-BIG EAST honoree as a junior. He led the 2016 NCAA National Champions in scoring at 15.5 ppg and also contributed 6.8 rebounds per game from the guard position. He was listed among the 15 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award.
