Joshua Figueroa

Classroom

Figueroa has already received his bachelor’s degree in information and decision sciences. He is now working towards a Master’s in Management Information Systems and carries a 3.48 cumulative GPA.

Figueroa has earned a spot on the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll for the past seven semesters and has a job offer in hand if he decides not to pursue professional baseball upon graduation.

Character

Entering his sixth year with the Flames, Figueroa remains a leader on and off the field for the team. He garners the respect of his teammates and coaches by the way he carries himself on a daily basis.

Community

Figueroa, along with his teammates, work closely with the Chicago Baseball and Educational Academy, which is dedicated to providing high quality baseball education and mentoring programs to youth who may not otherwise have access.

He has also assisted in numerous camps and clinics.

Competition

Heading into 2022, Figueroa has been tabbed as a preseason third team All-American.

He finished last season by earning a spot on the Horizon League second team and All-Tournament Team. For his career, Figueroa is batting above .300 and has over 100 RBI, 15 home runs and 140 career hits.
